The Friends of Henne Field have been serving the Saline community for a year and a half. Henne Field has been a large part of the history and growth of the City of Saline and theSaline Area Schools for over 60 years. For many years it has been a meeting place during community events and a destination for kids seeking a fun place to play. Henne Field has served the community well, but is now in need of a makeover to bring it back to the prominence it once held in our lives. The Friends of Henne Field have raised over $650,000 of a $1.3 million project, and have begun construction of new improvements for the field. Improvements include a new 1/3 mile walking trail with fitness stations, a new entertainment area, and 2 new baseball fields. Henne Field of the future will be a community gathering place that embraces Saline's historic past.
