Henne Field has long been a key part of the greater
Saline community. It was once the home field for Saline
High School football, the Saline Community Fair, and
many other fun activities. It is our vision that the
field should be reborn with yesterday in mind. We
will have active recreation such as baseball, as well
as passive recreation provided by the walking trail
and fitness stations for all to enjoy. There will
also be comfortable areas to simply sit and savor
the day. We visualize a large pavilion for family
gatherings or music under the stars. In these ways
and more, the Henne Field of the future will be a
community gathering place that embraces Saline’s historic
past.
